The first bike trailer I built. I used electrical conduit because I hadn’t yet purchased my industrial tubing bender and conduit could be bent using a cheap tool from a home improvement store.
Below you will find the frame for a 33″ x 60″ flatbed bent from a single piece of 20′ long 1″ round tubing. The arm was later cut off and re-welded to attach to a seatpost hitch rather than at the wheel axle like the electrical conduit trailer. Having towed pedicabs with more than 1,000 pounds on them, I’m convinced seatpost hitches are the best solution.
